Part 2: The King Is Coming - What God Showed Me Through the Dream

If you haven’t read the dream that inspired this reflection, you can read it here: The King Is Coming: A Wake-Up Call in the Night

After sharing that dream, I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something deeper God wanted me to understand. As I prayed and reflected, the Holy Spirit began to reveal layers of meaning — gentle reminders, loving correction, and a renewed sense of urgency to stay close to Him. This post shares what I believe He showed me through the dream.

It was both a personal message and a spiritual call: a reminder that His coming is closer than we think, and that now is the time to prepare — not in fear, but in faith.

The House

In the dream, I was in a house I used to live in — a place from my past. That house represents my spiritual foundation. It’s where my faith was shaped, where I first learned to depend on God fully. I believe the Lord brought me back there to remind me to return to that same place spiritually — to my roots of trust, prayer, and surrender.

The Light

The light that filled the room was so powerful, so alive, that I instantly knew it was His presence. It wasn’t natural light; it was the glory of God — the kind that leaves no room for shadows. I knew in my spirit: The King was coming.

That light represents truth, purity, and the fullness of His presence. It revealed how small everything else is in comparison — every fear, every distraction, every worry.

Falling to My Knees

My first reaction was to fall on my knees and cry out, “Lord, forgive me. Don’t leave me.” That showed me that deep down, my spirit already knows what to do when His presence comes — to humble myself, to repent, and to intercede. It was a holy urgency — not from fear of punishment, but from love and longing to be near Him.

My Children

In the dream, two of my daughters were with me, but the others were not. That broke me. Even in the dream, I began praying for the ones who weren’t there — crying out for their salvation, for God’s mercy, for their hearts to be awakened. That part of the dream revealed how much the Lord has placed intercession on my heart.

It was a call to pray like never before — to stand in the gap for my children and trust that God is working in ways I can’t yet see.

My Brother

When I asked where my brother was and heard, “He is behind you,” it startled me. I turned, and there he was — walking whole into the light. In real life, he struggles physically, but in the dream, he was strong, healed, and peaceful.

That moment felt like a divine promise — that God is still moving, still calling, still restoring. Even when I can’t control the circumstances or the people around him, God reminded me that His mercy is greater than my understanding. My job is to pray, to trust, and to let go of anything that weighs my spirit down.

The Message

The words that echoed in my spirit — “Get ready. The time is near. Fill your lamp. Pray for your loved ones. Pray for your enemies. Intercede. Be ready. Be wise. Let your oil overflow.” — were more than words. They were a divine command.

They pointed straight to Matthew 25, where Jesus talks about the wise and foolish virgins — those who kept their lamps filled and those who did not. The oil represents the Holy Spirit — our relationship with Him, our daily connection, our readiness.

God is calling His people to fill their lamps again — to be awake, alert, and steady in prayer.

Nothing Else Matters

As I prayed about the dream, one truth kept pressing on my heart: nothing else matters.

Not the bills, the stress, the fears, the noise of this world. Not the things we chase after that pull our eyes from Him.

When the King comes, none of it will matter.

All that will matter is the condition of our hearts — whether we are ready, whether our lamps are full, and whether we’ve loved, forgiven, and prayed for those He’s placed in our lives.

The Purpose

This dream was a divine wake-up call — a reminder to live each day in readiness, to keep prayer at the center, and to stay close to the One who saves.

It wasn’t a message of doom. It was a message of grace. A call to rise up, to release distractions, and to pour our time, love, and attention into the only thing that will last — our relationship with Jesus.

He’s coming soon — and He’s calling us to be ready, to stay filled, and to let our light shine brighter than ever before.

“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning.”

— Luke 12:35 (NIV)
